Ms. Leila Shum (Math Intervention)

I am very excited to be part of the team at Crocker Highlands. I was born and raised in Los Angeles and attended the University of CA, Irvine. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I participated in the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Programme and lived and worked in Japan for two years. I began my teaching career with the Los Angeles Unified School District and received my teaching credential through their District Intern Program. I taught kindergarten for 6 years and earned my master’s degree in Educational Administration from CalState, Northridge. My husband, Cliff and I moved to the Bay Area in 2007. We have two daughters, Raegan (10) and Renee (6). We live in Moraga with our mischievous Siberian Husky, Jace. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, snowboarding, hanging out with the family and sleeping as much as I can. I look forward to an amazing year of learning and fun.
