There are two primary ways Crocker Highlands Elementary families get their information. Here’s a quick guide to why we have these two primary platforms, and how they’re used… Konstella is the unified platform for all PTA communications. This is where to look for PTA and PTA-organized event announcements, the school calendar, room parent communications, our family directory, and informal discussion groups. The PTA piloted part of this system in 2021-2022 to try to start to streamline PTA communications, and rolled it out fully in 2022-2023. If you are a family member of a student and not on Konstella, you should be! Please email directory@crockerschool.org to request access to the platform. ParentSquare is the unified platform used by OUSD for school and districtwide communications. Anything official will come through that channel. Some teachers also use it to communicate with parents, but others use a different platform of their preference. If you have questions about Konstella, please reach out to Genie Gratto, Crocker Highlands Elementary PTA VP of Communications, at vpcommunications@crockerschool.org. Cougar Updates, our weekly newsletter, is published on Wednesdays. It has a calendar of upcoming events, messages from the Principal and/or PTA, and sometimes includes articles or notices from other members of the Crocker Community. To publish something in the newsletter, please contact vpcommunications@crockerschool.org by 3 pm on the Friday before publication.
