Hello Crocker families! I am very excited to be a part of the Crocker Highlands community. This will be my first year at Crocker Highlands and my 4th year as a kindergarten teacher. Originally from Berkeley, I discovered a love of painting while completing my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley. I worked as an artist for a couple of years before studying motion graphic design and working as a graphic designer. I made a pivotal life change to become a teacher, and I’m so thankful that I did! Teaching has become a life passion. I love creating a close classroom community and instilling in young minds the love of learning. To watch my students grow and learn as individuals is the most fulfilling job I have ever had. Creating a safe and loving classroom environment is very important to me. I make sure my students are having fun while engaged and ready to learn. I am also looking forward to getting to know and working closely with parents. We are a team and will work together for the success of your child. I continue to make art, but these days it is mostly in and for my classroom and students. I love to read, swim, hike and spend time with my family. I also love to learn about teaching and strive to continually grow through professional development. I can’t wait to meet and teach your children. We will have a lot of fun together!
