Dear Crocker Families,

I have been teaching at Crocker Highlands since January 1999. I actually did my first student teaching assignment in Room 14 – the same room I am in now!

I have a wonderful husband, two great adult children, and two adorable cats! In my spare time I love to read, cook, and travel.

We do a lot of fun and challenging learning projects in first grade – we celebrate Teddy Bear Day, Dental Health Month, the 100th Day of School, we learn to write a biography, and learn about the symbols of the United States. We also learn a new word each day – flabbergasted, majestic, devoured – to name a few. First grade also has three science kits (FOSS) – plants, solids and liquids, and air and weather.

First grade is such an exciting grade to teach because of the growth and development first graders make throughout the year! I look forward to a great year with your children!
