3rd Annual Mosaic Night

May 31, 6pm – 8pm

The Crocker Equity Committee, in association with the Crocker Highlands PTA, invites you to participate in the 3rd Annual Mosaic Day by joining us at the Crocker Mosaic Night event on Wednesday, May 31st at the Crocker Playground.

Mosaic Night is the culmination of Mosaic Day, which your children will participate in at school, and will feature:

Get Involved.  Here’s how you can help:

  • Potluck– we’re looking to you Crocker cooks to help provide some of these tasty dishes that represent your culture or a culture you’d like to expose students to. Sign up here!
  • Cultural Mosaic Stations— art projects, musical stations, cultural or country displays or any other ways to get our students thinking about cultural diversity. Do you have cultural projects/talents you want to share with the students or want to help? Contact Sign up here!
  • Volunteers — needed for set-up, helping at food stations, hosting cultural mosaic stations and breakdown. Sign up here!

Mosaic Day supports our Equity principle of “Knowing Each Child Well” as we help students to explore and embrace their many identities. During Mosaic Day on May 31st, Crocker students will attend an assembly with the following featured speaker and performers from our very own Crocker Cougars:

  • Youth Speaks Poets highlighting the diverse cultural experience here in the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Bay Area Outreach and Recreation Program (BORP) Outreach for People with Disabilities and Demonstration of Wheelchair Basketball Skills
  • Musical and poetic performances by Young, Gifted, and Black helping to educate the community on African American history
  • Traditional Hula Performance
  • Traditional Indian – Bengali Folk Dance

 Additionally, students will finalize a week-long art project led by Ms. Keller.
