Overview

The PTA Fundraising Team generates funds through several principle fundraisers and continuing activities. These funds directly pay for our music, computer, and physical education programs as well as our librarian and many other various staff/teacher-directed projects and scholarships. The goal for the 2009-10 school-year is to raise $188,605. Our overall goal translates to an average of $550 per student.

In calendar order, the fundraisers are:

Annual Giving- September 2009 – June, 2010

Each school year, we ask Crocker families for a once per year direct donation. We ask EVERY family to participate, knowing that some families can’t afford to give the full amount needed per student for the school year, while others can give more. Our goal is to get 100% participation this year! This is the fundraiser with the lowest overhead and the lowest volunteer requirement. Let’s make it our biggest contributing fundraiser. It is easy to set up a monthly installment contribution here at this site. We have a big push at the beginning of the year and when it is successful, it allows us to have fewer time-intensive fundraisers.

This year’s Walkathon is scheduled for Saturday October 24, 9:30-3:00.

This major fundraiser is the earliest in the school year and really involves the efforts of kids, parents and community in a fun and exciting undertaking. Each year, the students collect pledges and walk a 0.4 mile course in the neighborhood near the school, earning prizes and a sense of pride as they rack up laps around the course.

The Walkathon is a fun and easy way for parents to get involved, volunteer and share in a sense of Crocker community, as well.
To get involved, look for the Walkathon packet coming home with your children on Friday, September 25th.

Auction- March 6, 2010

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is the annual “Raise the Roof” Auction, where parents and staff bid on both silent and live auction items in a jovial, party atmosphere. Last year, we raised over $95,000! Let’s make it another great year!

Raffle- April 2010
