Incoming Kindergarten Visit – Friday, May 29, 2015
Families who have confirmed enrollment at Crocker Highlands for their kindergarten students in 2015-16 are invited to join us for a visit. Meet us on the playground at 8:50 AM. After you check in, we will divide you into three groups, and you’ll rotate through our three classrooms. Your children will have an opportunity to look around each room, play with toys, and look at books for about 20 minutes before moving on to the next classroom. Our teachers will be in their rooms to greet everybody and snap some photos. Please RSVP to email@example.com as soon as possible with your child’s full name.
Kindergarten Class Assignments Process for August 2015
Crocker Highlands uses a process called “Balanced Beginnings.” Students will be temporarily assigned to a color group (green, orange or purple) that will travel together to each of the three classrooms for the first three days. This will give our team (teachers and the principal) an opportunity to get to know all of the students a little bit, making it easier to create balanced classes. The color groups will be posted outside the school office by 5:00 PM on Friday, August 21alongside our other class lists. This summer, you will also receive a letter explaining the schedule for those three days. Final class lists will be posted by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 26 and will also be emailed to all kindergarten families.
Afterschool Care – Adventure Time (A.T.)
According to the director on site, Adventure Time has never filled to capacity. This is good news for families who wish to send their kids to A.T. To enroll your child, please come to the school between 7:00 – 8:30 AM or 2:45 – 6:00 PMon any school day. They also operate a summer program, usually held at Montclair Elementary School, where you may also go to enroll your child when school is out for the summer.
