Originally from Indiana, Mr. David Hardiman  moved to California in 1980 to pursue his education as an instrumental Music teacher.  Since 1989, Mr. Hardiman has taught music in San Francisco, Richmond, and Oakland Unified School Districts.

Mr. Hardiman received his A.A. degree in Music Education from  City College Of San Francisco, a B.A. degree in Music Education from Cal State Hayward, and both a teaching credential and M.A. from San Francisco State.  His biggest inspirations have been his mother,-Juanita Hardiman, grandmother-Sadie Hardiman, and father,-David Hardiman Sr.(Former City College Jazz instructor for 30 years).  In addition, he counts Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, Roy Hargrove, The Jackson Five, Prince, Babyface, After 7, among his favorites.

Mr. Hardiman has his own jazz quintet and also performs with his Father’s S.F. All-Star Big Band as a lead singer and trumpet player.  He has performed domestically and internationally.

Professional activities and associations with which Mr. Hardiman is involved include the International Association Of Jazz Educators, Afro-American Jazz Caucus, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
