Dear Crocker Community,
As many of you know, recently there have been many discussions regarding the expanded boundaries and the impact on enrollment at Crocker Highlands Elementary. We were able to add an additional kindergarten class this year to accommodate all our neighborhood families but that is a short-term solution.
We are having a meeting with David Montes de Oca, Executive Director, Quality Community Schools Development of the Oakland Unified School District, to address the long-term enrollment capacity of the school on Wednesday, June 6, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Crocker Highlands Library. Everyone is invited.

Crocker Highlands 5th Grade Class Presenting Movie Night – Parent’s Night Out
When: Friday 5/11
Time: 5:30-8:00 pm
Where: Crocker MultiPurpose Room
Who: Any Crocker student (well behaved students please!!)
Movie: We Bought A Zoo
Fund Raising Cost: $20 first child, $10 second child, $5 third child (additional donations welcomed!!)
Please join your fellow schoolmates along with your comfortable snuggly (pillows, blankets, etc) for a Friday Movie Night in the Crocker MultiPurpose Room! Enjoy popcorn and pizza while hanging with your friends.
All Proceeds to support the 5th grade Promotion!!

The Round-Up is a time for all incoming kindergarten students for the 2012-2013 school year to spend with the teachers and it’s taking place on May 8th and May 9th. The teachers will have an opportunity to get to know the incoming students. The children will be listening to a story, drawing pictures, building with blocks, and sharing about themselves.
There are 4 one-hour time slots, each slot is limited to 14 students. To reserve your spot, please select the date and time you would like to attend. Then click on the “Register” link for the specific time you wish to attend. You will provide your child’s name as well as your contact information in case of emergency. After drop-off on the day of the visit, we encourage parents/guardians to go out and get a cup of coffee or take a walk around the school. (We are asking that parents do leave campus as it can be distracting for the children to know they are on the premises.)

The Online Auction is quickly coming to an end on Sunday, February 26. Now is the time to register and start bidding! There are great things to be found online, including some coveted sign up party spots, unique experiences, nights out on the town and classes and camps for the kids. Don’t forget to pass the auction along to your friends and family – you don’t need to be a Crocker family to join in on the fun!
