Tour Information Tours for prospective incoming families take place during November and December. Each tour will feature visits to kindergarten classrooms, as well as a whole school view. There will be a brief Q & A session with the Kindergarten teachers, as well as the principal. All tours will begin at 9:00 AM and are limited to 25 people.
To tour one of the upper grades (1st – 5th), please join a tour listed above. On the day of the tour, please let your tour guide know the grade level in which you are interested and they will try to accommodate a visit to that grade level. If you have any questions, please contact the school office at 451-5900. Or send us an email at tours@crockerschool.org Tours are for parents/guardians, though infants in a carrier or backpack are welcome. Please keep in mind, tours will visit classrooms and we want to be considerate to learning environments in the classrooms. We encourage small children to stay at home or at daycare. Enrollment Options The School Options Open Enrollment Program requires all students to submit an application to attend a school in the fall, even if it is their neighborhood school. The open enrollment period begins in December and usually ends in mid-January. Check the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) website www.ousd.k12.ca.us, for specific dates. Crocker Highlands does not admit students from our school site. All admission requests and questions should be directed to the OUSD Student Assignment Office (510-434-7790). They are located at 2111 International Blvd., Oakland 94606 . Crocker Highlands hosts an Information Night in the spring (date TBD) for all new incoming families. Please check back after the 2009 Winter break for more information and how to register. If you have any question about the above information, please contact Beth Rhine at (510) 451-5900 or by email. |
