Just in time for the 2009-10 school year, we’ve updated the Crocker Highlands Elementary School website. If you haven’t already bookmarked the new site, please update your links to the new web address, http://crockerschool.org.
Why a new website? A group of parent volunteers on the Technology committee thought it was time to update the site and make it easier to facilitate communication throughout the school, classrooms and Crocker community. I’d like to especially thank Jon Cecchettini and Rich Trevor for their countless hours of behind the scenes work on this project. In addition I’d like to thank Lisa Hobbs and other technology committee members that have provided valuable feedback throughout the process. This truly has been a joint effort.
The new website is easy to manage, simple for teachers, staff and pta members to create web pages and post information. Other important features include:
- Updated, easier to find content
- Crocker branded theme with enhanced graphics
- Easier publishing and maintenance of content
- RSS feeds for subscriptions to website content
- Addition of dynamic photo galleries and video
- Enhanced community based feedback channel
- Powerful Search functionality
- Site analytics
Please be patient with us as we continue to update content from staff, teachers and the PTA through the start of the school year. Current areas under construction:
- Many of the teacher pages
- Library pages
